Unilode Supercharges Digital tracking with the launch of Super Sentinel

Unilode have announced the launch of Super Sentinel, an industry-leading digital tracking solution designed to eliminate lost and unreported ULDs.

Super Sentinel is an additional digital solution that will be enabled on Unilode’s Bluetooth and LoRa tags. This enables ULD tracking outside of our fixed reader network, allowing Unilode to locate lost or unreported ULDs anywhere in the world.

Built in partnership with OnAsset Intelligence, the global leader in shipment tracking and visibility, Super Sentinel is a groundbreaking development that delivers advanced ULD and piece-level tracking, supporting the evolving needs of airlines and cargo operators.

The technology will be rolled out across Unilode’s global fleet of over 220,000 ULDs during 2026, with the initial aim of eliminating loss and unreported through intelligent digital recovery.

The digital solutions are already delivering strong, measurable results compared to non-digitised ULDs:

  • Current digitised ULDs experience 75% fewer unreported ULDs
  • And loss levels have been reduced to 0.01%.

With Super Sentinel, unilode further elevate the performance.

  • The new enhancement is expected to achieve above 95% fewer unreported ULDs.
  • This next step reinforces a future of zero losses and more granular ULD tracking.

Super Sentinel complements Unilode’s existing digital capabilities, including real-time ULD tracking, digital SCM and LUC, serviceability reporting, in-house customer portal, and system integrations.

Delivering end-to-end digitalisation through Unilode’s global ULD management model, supported by over 900 aviation and ULD Unilode people worldwide.

Ross Marino, Chief Executive Officer, Unilode:

Super Sentinel is a major step forward in our digital evolution. Our focus remains on delivering value and service excellence for our customers. Super Sentinel complements Unilode’s digital capabilities, offering tracking of lost and unreported ULDs beyond our reader network. We will continue to develop advanced capabilities such as piece-level tracking and cargo data intelligence. We are proud of our long-standing partnership with OnAsset Intelligence and their ability to respond rapidly to our growing digital requirements.

Adam Crossno, Chief Executive Officer at OnAsset Intelligence, added:

Super Sentinel demonstrates how scalable digital technology can deliver real operational value at a global scale. Our partnership with Unilode continues to push the boundaries of what is possible in ULD and cargo visibility, recovery, and intelligence, laying the groundwork for even more advanced digital capabilities in the future.
