Satair Expands Panel Portfolio with New Cargo Floor Solution

Satair has launched a new cargo floor panel solution, extending its Airbus Semi-Finished Floor Panel (ASFP) product range to support maintenance across both passenger and cargo areas of Airbus aircraft.

The newly introduced Cargo Robust panels have been developed in close collaboration with Airbus Engineering and materials supplier Schütz GmbH & Co. KGaA, building on the ASFP passenger solution first introduced in 2022. This expansion addresses a clear need among airlines and MROs for efficient, flexible, and significantly more durable and more robust panels than what is currently available in the market. The Cargo Robust panels were developed with a strong focus on operational resilience and long-term performance in demanding environments.

The ASFP panels are delivered in a semi-finished format, allowing operators and MROs to cut and drill the panels on-site to match specific requirements. This flexibility helps reduce downtime and cost compared to fully finished replacements. The use of high-performance polymer inserts and hard points also reduces the risk of corrosion in humid environments and supports consistency in installation across fleet types.

With the Cargo Robust variant, the ASFP range now supports floor panel repairs in seat, aisle, galley, and cargo zones across the A320 Family, A330, A340, A350, and A380 aircraft. All products are available through Satair’s global warehouse network, helping reduce lead times and improve availability for customers worldwide.

The launch of the Cargo Robust panel represents a valuable addition to the evolving ASFP portfolio. For customers, it brings greater flexibility in managing structural floor repairs, stronger alignment with Airbus maintenance standards, and improved access to globally supported spares.

Thomas Lagaillarde, Vice President Product Management & Business Development, Satair, said: “This addition to our semi-finished floor panel portfolio was developed in response to customer needs for more adaptable and standardised repair solutions. By extending coverage to the cargo areas, we are supporting our customers in simplifying maintenance processes, improving repair turnaround times, and reducing operational complexity.”

The expansion of the ASFP range reflects Satair’s ongoing commitment to equipping operators and MROs with practical, Airbus-approved maintenance solutions that combine durability, ease of implementation, and strong global logistics support.
