Cathay Cargo, in partnership with CHAMP Cargosystems, has gone live with a ONE Record use case that spearheads the air cargo industry’s adoption of ONE Record.
Utilizing CHAMP’s 1Neo-Connect for ONE Record, the new Cathay Cargo service provides real-time booking updates with some of CHAMP’s major ground handlers around the world. This is a significant step forward as the increased visibility allows Cathay Cargo’s ground handlers to better understand and prepare for the cargo being shipped to particular stations.
Tom Owen, Cathay Director Cargo said,
“We are thrilled to launch our first ONE Record use case with CHAMP and experience the benefits this generates to our partners, ultimately enabling all of us to further streamline the air cargo supply chain. This would not have been possible without our partnership with CHAMP. The adoption of ONE Record marks a turning point for the air cargo industry as a whole, and we look forward to exploring the possibilities it holds for digitalization.”
Chris McDermott, CHAMP CEO, said
“It’s been our great pleasure to work with Cathay Cargo to implement this groundbreaking ONE Record use case. CHAMP sees ONE Record as the standard that will drive the full digitalization of air cargo and enable new services, so it’s very exciting to see this implementation come to fruition.”
