Swissport in the UK has won a major cargo handling contract from the Lufthansa Group for London Heathrow Airport. With this win, the global leader in ground services and cargo handling now handles the German airline group’s cargo at all of its UK destinations.

The Lufthansa Group now also relies on Swissport’s air cargo handling services at London Heathrow Airport. The new contract complements the long-standing cooperation across the UK. Swissport, the global leader of airport ground handling services and air cargo handling, now serves Lufthansa, SWISS and Austrian Airlines – all part of the Lufthansa Group – at all of their UK destinations. Swissport also offers landside trucking services.

"We are pleased to be able to offer our premium air cargo handling services to the Lufthansa Group at London Heathrow, where we handle around 11,000 tons per year for their airlines," said Jason Gaskell, Swissport's Chief Operating Officer (Cargo) in the UK & Ireland.
