Qantas Freight Launches Sydney–Shanghai Freighter Route

Qantas Freight will commence new direct A330-200P2F freighter services between Sydney and Shanghai starting 26 June 2025. Operating twice weekly on Thursdays and Saturdays, this marks the first time Qantas' iconic Red Tail A330 freighters will fly regular routes between these two major cargo hubs.

The new service significantly boosts freight capacity for Australian exporters, providing direct access to China’s busiest cargo port. Flight schedules have been strategically designed to connect with services from other Australian cities, offering producers nationwide enhanced opportunities to ship their goods internationally.
