MSC Air Cargo Expands Network with Milan–Shanghai Freighter Service

MSC Air Cargo has announced the launch of a new scheduled freighter service connecting Milan Malpensa (MXP) and Shanghai Pudong (PVG). Set to commence on March 3, 2026, this strategic route marks a significant milestone in MSC’s expansion into the Asia-Europe trade lane.

The service will be operated by MSC’s state-of-the-art Boeing 777-200 freighter, offering the efficiency and reliability required for long-haul cargo operations. This launch follows the full integration of Milan-based AlisCargo Airlines, providing MSC with a dedicated Italian Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) and a strategic hub in Southern Europe.

“The launch of our Milan–Shanghai service is a pivotal step in our mission to build a high-quality, reliable air cargo network,” said Jannie Davel, CEO of MSC Air Cargo. “By connecting these two major economic powerhouses, we are providing our customers with enhanced capacity and specialized solutions for their most time-sensitive goods.”
