Hactl successfully handled a consignment of Manila clams on 22 September, originating in Thailand and bound for Shenzhen. The shipment was routed through Hong Kong via the Air-Land Fresh Lane — a newly launched dedicated route for importing live and chilled seafood and fruits into the Greater Bay Area (GBA), via Hong Kong International Airport, the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge (HZMB), and Zhuhai — with streamlined Customs clearance and quarantine procedures.
The consignment was moved seamlessly from the aircraft to a temperature-controlled truck fitted with a Customs approved electronic lock and GPS, with the support of a “Certificate of Non-manipulation” issued by the Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department. The shipment crossed the border without delay, proving the reliability of the initiative and how shippers can both simplify bookings and improve efficiency.
This expedited route complements our wholly owned subsidiary, Hacis’s existing intermodal offering — SuperLink China Direct — which provides scheduled, bonded road-feeder services between HKIA and mainland China. It further expands the shipment options for perishable goods for airlines and freight forwarders.
