CHALLENGE LOGISTICS : Getting your cargo on the road

Challenge Group’s specialised road feeder services, in the EU and the US, take the complexity out of arranging the first and last mile transportation of non-standard air cargo shipments.

“The first and last miles are key components of the supply chain yet can be difficult to arrange in a fragmented service set-up. Having our own experienced and established Challenge Logistics trucking subsidiary, enables us to provide reliable and smooth end-to-end solutions,” says Yossi Shoukroun, Chief Executive Officer of Challenge Group. “Our Challenge Group vision is to offer customers a holistic, one-stop service solution, relieving them of any planning complexities. We listen to their needs and then provide them with the best solution in terms of timeline and cost efficiency.”

On average, Challenge Logistics covers more than 1000 legs per month, to over 100 destinations in Europe alone. Operating out of Challenge Group’s Liege hub in Belgium, the logistics provider reaches most main European markets within 12 hours, thanks to an established network of more than 40 trucking partners. A logistics ‘control tower’ team, based in Liege, provides 24/7, global service coverage.

Challenge Logistics runs scheduled routes to six main gateways in Europe daily, and to/from long distance gateways several times per week. In addition, in the last few years, Challenge Logistics has added direct services to its portfolio, which include door-to-door, port-to-door, door-to-port, and port-to-port services, and which round off its vertical operations. Challenge Logistics has access to high security TAPA certified, dual temperature, and high insulation value (FRC-certified) trailers. Specialised in tailored transport solutions, Challenge Logistics mostly deals with non-standard/oversize shipments, dangerous goods (ADR), and live animals.

Similar services are offered in the U.S. On both continents, Challenge Logistics manages a portfolio of road feeder service suppliers with a variety of criteria and certifications to cover the requirements for the transport of all kinds of complex cargo.

“Expertise and a customer-oriented approach are what our business partners look for when choosing a service provider. Those factors are achieved through operational excellence and creativity, both of which Challenge Group prides itself on and can clearly demonstrate. For example, shipments and even full flights are able to reach most European destinations within 12 hours from the moment they land,” Hay Sasson, Chief Operations Officer of Challenge Group, states. “Smooth handling, a strong RFS network, innovation, and flexibility: all these contribute to delivering a consistent and efficient service tailored precisely to the needs of our customers.”
