Air Cambodia appoints AVIAREPS as Cargo General Sales Agent in Japan

AVIAREPS has been appointed as the Cargo General Sales & Service Agent for Air Cambodia in Japan.

While AVIAREPS already represents Air Cambodia in Japan as its Passenger GSA, this new agreement adds sales promotion and support for Air Cambodia’s cargo services to customers throughout Japan. Under this agreement, AVIAREPS Japan will be responsible for cargo space sales and market development for outbound cargo from Japan to Phnom Phen, Cambodia and Fuzhou, China, supporting the expansion of Air Cambodia’s cargo services as the only airline connecting Japan and Cambodia.

With its appointment effective September 1st, AVIAREPS Japan assumes responsibility for cargo space sales, reservations, customer service, customer engagement, and relationship building with industry partners. Leveraging AVIAREPS’ air cargo expertise and global network, the company will help drive Air Cambodia’s commercial development and cargo sales in the Japan market.

As of September 1, 2026, Air Cambodia operates three weekly flights on its Narita (NRT)

- Fuzhou (FOC) - Phnom Penh (KTI) route. The service is operated using Airbus A320 aircraft, which offer approximately 2 to 3 tons of cargo capacity even when passenger loads are at full capacity.

This appointment marks another step in the continued expansion of AVIAREPS Japan’s aviation services portfolio in the Japan market. In the past six months, the company was appointed as the passenger General Sales Agent (GSA) in Japan for Air Astana, Royal Jordanian Airlines, and Air Mauritius, and as the General Sales and Service Agent (GSSA) for the cargo operations of Air Astana and Royal Jordanian Airlines. As a result, AVIAREPS continues to strengthen its comprehensive support platform for airlines across both passenger and cargo sectors. The Cargo General Sales & Service Agent agreement with Air Cambodia represents another milestone in this growth strategy and further expands the company’s presence in Japan.

Ly Tuan Hiep, Vice Chief of Commerce, Air Cambodia: “We are pleased to appoint AVIAREPS as our Cargo General Sales & Service Agent in Japan. Japan is an important market for Air Cambodia, with strong potential for further growth in air cargo demand. We are confident that AVIAREPS’ deep understanding of the market, strong customer relationships, and proven expertise in the air cargo sector will support our expansion objectives in Japan. Through this partnership, we look forward to strengthening trade and logistics connections between Cambodia and Japan and creating new opportunities for our customers.”

Stephen Cox, General Manager AVIAREPS Japan: “We are honoured to have been appointed as Air Cambodia’s Cargo General Sales & Service Agent in Japan. We are delighted to support the growth of Air Cambodia’s cargo business, particularly as the only airline connecting Japan and Cambodia directly. This important route, connecting Japan through Narita International Airport to Phnom Phen’s Techno International Airport (KTI) and Fuzhou Changle International Airport (FOC) in China, will provide timely and efficient support to both Japanese and Cambodian companies growing international business ties between the two countries. The route, established in October 2025 as a fifth freedom route, will also enable cargo shipments to Fuzhou, China. By leveraging AVIAREPS’ extensive sales expertise in the Japanese market and our global network, we look forward to delivering high-quality service to customers while contributing to greater awareness of Air Cambodia and the expansion of cargo demand between our two markets.”
